Pumpkin Farm!

We have been having some beautiful fall weather lately so we decided to take advantage of it on a recent Sunday afternoon/evening and take our annual trip to the pumpkin patch. We went back to our favorite place - the Pumpkin Barn. We didn't make it there last year, so we were really eager to get back this year. It is so much fun to pick out pumpkins there. We let Chloe pick out all the pumpkins this year ... Chloe checks to see if she has the perfect pumpkin. She chose this one for either herself or her baby brother. She chose two smaller pumpkins for them, but of course, her pumpkin was just slightly bigger since she is a big girl!

"What about this one for Mommy?" Chloe also chose pumpkins for Joe and I. She chose a taller one for him and a short round one for me ... go figure ... at least she's honest about the way I look!!

Our little girl is just over 3 feet tall now!! I'll have to remember to get her next to this post next year to see how much she's grown!

We got there just in time for one of the hayrides. It was a nice hayride that took us all around the farm. We saw the pumpkin patches, the fields where the cattle were grazing and the areas that held both the young cows and the older ones that were ready to take a one way trip away from the farm. It was really neat to see some of the different areas of a real working farm. The day we were there, there were also several people flying large model aircraft, the type that are 4 -5 feet in length. It was pretty cool to see them flying overhead and landing.

Chloe was a little unsure about the hayride at first, but it wasn't too bumpy and the tractor pulling the wagon was a newer, quieter model.

They have a couple of different fun cut-outs that you can put your head through for funny pictures!

It was a lot of fun and we are looking forward to going back next year with the two kids then!! Let us know if you would like to join us!!
