Quick Trip - Part 2

We booked a package deal when we went to Fort Rapids, and part of the deal was that we got tickets to the park every day we were at the hotel, so it was Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for us. When we arrived Friday afternoon, we checked into our room, unpacked the little we brought with us and then headed down to check out the water park. We were all ready for a little R&R, and Chloe couldn't wait to get in the water! Here are some pictures from our time at the water park. This is a picture of a larger purple slide that Chloe went down all by herself. She and Joe had climbed all the way up this large structure and Joe was planning to ride down the slide with her. When they got to the top, the lifeguard said that they would each have to ride down alone. It really was a little big for Chloe and the poor thing sat up part way down the slide and ended up turning around and going down backwards! Needless to say, she was not too happy about it and was a little timid around the slides for the remainder of the weekend. Fortunately, there were plenty of other activities to keep her busy!
This is the large climbing structure I talked about above. There were various slides and sprayers and buckets of water to tip over. There is huge bucket at the top that would fill up with water every couple of minutes and would then tip over spilling water all over anyone in a certain area. Kids loved it! A bell would sound as it was tipping over as a warning to anyone who did not want to get soaked! Chloe loved watching the bucket, although she did not like to be directly under it as the water spilled out!

Chloe tried going down another one of the "bigger" slides (though much smaller than the purple one!), but was still not overly crazy about it.

I think we spent at least 3 or 4 hours at the park on Friday night. There was a snack shop there so we just ate dinner there. It was typical "amusement park" fare, but it was really convenient to just eat there and not have to go back to the room and change then go out to dinner.

We went back to the park Saturday morning after breakfast and stayed for a while. We grabbed a snack at the snack shop since we had eaten such a huge breakfast that morning, and headed up to the room for afternoon naps (yes, for all of us!!). By the time we all woke up, we decided to head out for an early dinner so we could go back to the park after dinner. We went down with the intention of only staying an hour and a half or so, but I think we ended up staying another 3 hours because we were having so much fun! Chloe did not want to leave, and Joe and I had a great time too!
