Welcome to our family blog! Sometimes in our chaotic lives we just don't get to talk with and see our friends and family as often as we would like! I hope this blog helps to keep you updated about what's going on in our family!

Swimming Lessons!

We recently enrolled Chloe in swimming lessons! She is having a blast ... and we are too! Because she's not three yet, we are taking a class where the parents get in the water along with the child. It's really more of a "getting comfortable in the water" class than "true" lessons. We have had two classes now and she is much more relaxed in the water than she was the first class. I could really see how much more relaxed she was in the water when we went to the lake this past weekend.

Holding onto a floating barbell while lying on her back. She's still a little uncomfortable doing this, but is doing better.

Hanging onto the barbell and kicking her legs. She found this to be a lot of fun, especially when her kicking splashed water!

Hanging onto the side of the pool all by herself! The teacher dumps a bunch of ducks into the pool and the kids "swim" to them. The two ducks in front of Chloe are two that she claimed in the pool. One of the hardest parts of leaving is getting her to leave the ducks.

All three of us in the water. You really only need one parent in the water at a time, but it's a playing in the water is a bit of a work out, so it's nice that we can both swim with her.

By the end of the last lesson, Chloe had jumped into the pool a couple of times, had put her face in the water to blow bubbles, and had even dipped all the way under the water! She has so much fun and can't wait until the next lesson!
