The big kids were eager to meet their baby brother, so after we had gotten settled into our Mommy-Baby (and Daddy) room, my parents brought them for a visit. They were both really excited to meet their new baby brother.

Caleb climbed right up into the bed with James and I. Chloe was excited too, but was willing to let Caleb get up close first.
I love this picture! Caleb snuggled right up next to me while Chloe reached out to her new brother. I think Caleb was a little anxious about the the addition of James and he wanted to make sure I was still going to be there for him. Chloe had been through it before, so she was a little more confident.
My parents were really happy to meet their newest grandson. My dad had a bit of a cough from allergies so he offered to wear a mask around James.

Time for a weight check. 7 pounds 14.3 ounces on day 2. Didn't lose much weight from day 1 to 2.
My parents were kind enough to bring the kids back the next day for another visit. Chloe was much more confident and loved holding James.
She's a natural.
We had a great nurse in the Mommy-Baby unit. She made bracelets for the big kids that said "Big Brother Caleb" and "Big Sister Chloe". She was actually the same nurse we had there when Chloe was born.
