Catching Up - July 2012

July 2012 was another fun and busy summer month!!

Caleb had his first official visit to the dentist in July. I had taken him along before, but he got his first cleaning and check up! No cavities!

We are all a little patriotic about this wonderful country and we especially enjoy celebrating our love for the United States on Independence Day! Our city has a very nice (and long!) parade each year on the 4th of July. As usual, the temps were blazing, so we didn't stay for the entire parade. We did enjoy what we saw, though!

The parade route was changed a little this year, due to some construction in the downtown area. I think the changed route provided a little more shade to some people, but we didn't get there early enough to find any.

After the parade, we invited family and friends over for a cookout. Memaw (Joe's grandma) loved that James fell asleep in her arms!

Caleb got his hair spiked after getting it cut!

James got his first hair cut on July 21. Here is the before picture, while he was still happy and smiling!

The "after" picture. He was so upset after getting his hair cut that I forgot to take a picture immediately after. Instead, I snapped this picture that evening at the Dragons' game.

Joe's boss at work has season tickets for the Dragons. He was going out of town so he gave the tickets to us to use. We had a great time!!
