Popcorn Festival

 We love going to the annual Popcorn Festival every September!! We have taken the kids the past couple of years, and everyone always has a great time!! We through the booths fairly quickly to get to the kids' section of the festival.

At one end of the festival, the local fire department brings some trucks and ambulances. The kids (and adults!) can climb all over the trucks. Both kids had a lot of fun! Caleb even tried on the headset!

 Ha! This is a fun one!! I love the expression on Caleb's face!! Almost like he knows he is getting "sprayed" with water!

There is an area where the kids can dress up like firefighters! Chloe got to put on the whole outfit before crawling through the tunnel of "fire".

 There is a large children's area set up at the festival, complete with games, puppet shows, bouncy houses, and Gem, one of the Dragons' mascots!! Chloe ran right up to her!

 The Firefighter Dog!

 This is a piece of the World Trade Center. It will be on permanent display at a park. Seeing this twisted piece of metal was very thought-provoking, and brought back a lot of memories, as well as some extra prayers for all those who were touched by the tragedy of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center, as well as the other incidents that day.

As always, we had a fabulous time at the Popcorn Festival!! I'm sure we'll be back next year!
